The BreathRX range of products is not just aimed at keeping your teeth and mouth clean, but is specifically designed to help give you fresh breath. The company, along with celebrity US dentist Dr Bill Dorfman, has developed a three-point strategy for tackling the causes and symptoms of bad breath, including using dental floss.
The BreathRX products are very popular in the States, where 60 million Americans suffer from bad breath every year. They also sell toothpaste, tongue scrapers, mouthwash and even sugar-free mints and mouth spray, to keep your mouth smelling fresh all day.
The key ingredient in the BreathRX products is Zytex, a substance that was chosen for its ability to neutralise odours and its anti-bacterial properties. Zytex contains zinc, which acts to turn the volatile sulphur compounds though to be responsible for bad breath, into non-volatile, and therefore smell-free, forms.
