The Reach brand of oral hygiene products is produced by a US company called McNeil PPC, which is perhaps better known for some of the popular medications they also manufacture. McNeil PPC was set up by Robert McNeill in Phildelphia at the end of the 19th century, but the company was bought by the health giant Johnson and Johnson in 1959. These days, McNeil still produce popular pain medications like Tykenol, but has also branched out, with the creation of McNeil Consumer Healthcare, into other healthcare markets, such as feminine hygiene products and oral hygiene.
Reach has become a well known brand, thanks to having the weight of a company like Johsnon and Johnson supporting its marketing and advertising, as well as through offering good quality products at reasonable prices. The brand doesn’t just produce dental floss either; they also sell toothbrushes and the same parent company sells toothpaste and mouthwash too, such as the Listerine brand.
