TePe is a family-owned Swedish company specialising in manufacturing oral health care products. The company was founded when Henning Eklund, a woodcarver, was asked by the Malmo University, School of Dentistry to make a different kind of dental stick. Eklund made a triangular shaped stick that fitted the normal shape of the space between the teeth.
Since then, TePe developed a range of products concentrating initially on Interdental cleaning products, but later expanded into other preventative dental commodities. The mission of TePe is to improve the oral health of people throughout the world as well as raising awareness about preventative dental care. Its tag line is: we care for healthy smiles.
With subsidiaries in the USA and across Western Europe, the company manufactures a range of products including toothbrushes, special brushes and dental sticks, all of which are used by both consumers and professionals in over 50 countries. Today, TePe continues to collaborate with dental professionals to research, develop and manufacture new oral health care products.
