This brand is very similar to the Thornton 3 in 1 Floss, with some subtle changes that make it more suitable for treating gum disease or problems with gum recession. It is also ideally suited for those who have braces, implants or bridges as it is stronger than the 3 in 1 brand and has a thicker middle ‘toothbrush’ section.
The nylon feeder strand is stronger, to allow you to get into even difficult gaps and to maintain a firm hold, even if you need to brush or floss quite thoroughly. The brush section has a larger, thicker filament to allow for easier cleaning of larger tooth surfaces and gaps, which can be caused to gum recession. It is still soft and gentle that it will not cause any damage to already irritated gums. Finally, the nylon strand after the brush can be used as an effective dental floss, cleaning plaque and pieces of food from below the gum clean and scraping the surfaces of your teeth to make sure they are completely clean.
The stronger feeder also makes this product ideal for feeding around and into the gaps created by orthodontic work, bridges and dental implants as you can keep a firm control at all times and remove it easily, no matter how far it has twisted into your mouth. The strands are available in mint or unflavoured and come in either a handy dispenser box or a travel bag containing 75 pre-cut strands. The Thornton Peridontal Floss is 70cm in length.
