TePe Dental Sticks are made from birch and linden wood using a similar triangular design originally manufactured in the 1960s. Nowadays, many Tepe Dental Sticks are impregnated with fluoride to help strengthen tooth enamel as well as adding extra protection from the development of tooth decay and gum disease.
There are several types and sizes of dental sticks suitable for different members of the family. For instance, there are 4 slim varieties available: X-Slim, X-Slim Flouride, Slim and Slim-Flouride. Each dental stick is designed for children and adults who have very narrow interdental spaces.
The fluoride varieties as implied are impregnated with fluoride for added protection from caries and gum disease. There are also 2 medium sized dental sticks ” the Medium and Medium Flouride. Wider than the slim varieties, both are designed for use with larger interdental spaces.
TePe also manufacture plastic dental sticks. The main advantage of these is that they are re-usable. Only one size is available ” extra slim ” but they are designed to be soft, pliable, washable and easy to use.
